Centre of excellence - Design Thinking, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (CoE-DTIE)

The KLH- Global Business School hosts Centre of Excellence for Design Thinking, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (CoE-DTIE), it is a dynamic hub dedicated to fostering a culture of creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial spirit. Rooted in interdisciplinary collaboration, the Centre serves as a catalyst for developing innovative solutions to real-world problems while nurturing the next generation of student entrepreneurs and change-makers.

The CoE serves as the Globally recognized hub for cultivating student innovation, advancing design thinking and promoting sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystems with our Global Partners.

Core Activities

  • Innovation Labs: To nurture entrepreneurial needs of the innovator student communities.
  • Design Thinking Pedagogy: Integrate design thinking methodologies into curriculum and co-curricular activities to enhance critical and creative problem-solving.
  • Entrepreneurship Incubator: A space to launch and scale startups, providing business support, mentorship, and investor networks. KLH-GBS Incubator labs offer such opportunities.
  • Workshops & Bootcamps: Hands-on sessions on design thinking, product development, business modelling, and pitch development.
  • Research & Consultancy: Support for applied research and consulting projects in innovation strategy and entrepreneurship.
  • Idea Competitions & Demo Days: Platforms to showcase innovative ideas, network with industry leaders, and attract funding.
  • Startup Incubation & Acceleration: International mentorship, access to global investor networks, and exposure to foreign markets.
  • Hackathons/Ideathons: Annual Ideathons are conducted regularly to foster ideas that will turn into enterprises.
  • International Business Plan Competitions: In collaboration with industry-academia partnerships, KLH-Global Business School offers global linkages to strengthen cross-border innovation.
  • Inclusive Capacity Building: Develop programs that support students, faculty, and underserved communities to participate in the innovation economy.

These activities are geared with the establishment of globally recognized student startups and social enterprises. Enhanced research output and international publications in innovation and entrepreneurship. Strong global talent pipeline equipped for 21st century challenges providing greater visibility and impact of our university in global innovation networks.
